Surround me like you used to
Trapped and so alone within
Calling me with burning words
Just like old times, my friend.

Hang me like you used to
So far below your frame
And keep me there to collect the dust
Of our friendship here again.

You're gone, now, and I've moved on
But scars upon my face remain
You'll never know how deep I felt
The stinging blows, the fiercest pain.

So take me back to the past
When I was weak and fraigle
This time I promise not to cry
Even though the healing's gradual.
