Rescue Me
To the One and Only,
I know a child who cries out for mercy, and love, and whatever that might be understood.
Even though within our minds we tell ourselves that it's all-right, I cry in pain and sorrow when the lights begin to fade ...away.
You’re fading away from me.
I can’t shake this misery.
Can you take this pain away or will I have to wait a day for You to rescue me?
I know a face, that once was bright and shining, about whatever else that might be understood.
Now all I see is tears when looking in mirrors, and it might be understood but I'm too far and few between the lines of death and misery that, as I pray, the time of day slowly drifts and turns away from me,
from me...

Won’t You hold my hand and lead because I can’t find my way, and please can’t You take this pain away?
